Emil Nguy

Emil Nguy, Chairman, CEO and CIO of Income Partners, founded the firm in 1993. Emil draws upon his vast expertise and experience, with over 30 years in investment management, focusing his energies on new asset allocation across various strategies and macro risk management. He has experience through many cycles in fixed income, structured finance, special/distressed and private credit investments. Emil has also been involved in several large distressed debt workouts in Asia.

Prior to founding Income Partners, Emil worked for Indosuez Asia Investment Management, where it proved that Emil is particularly adept at navigating successfully through periods of economic uncertainty in order to protect client capital. He is renowned in the industry for his ability to interpret market signals and analyze economic data to position investments for outperformance.

From the outset of Income Partners, Emil has always stayed true to the initial vision that the company was founded upon – to be independent and to serve our clients with no conflict of interest. This client-centric approach to business has enabled him to develop and maintain an exceptional track record of achieving long-term results for his clients across various asset classes.

Emil earned an MBA degree, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Civil Engineering all from McGill University, Canada.

Jeb Doggett

Jeb is Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for leading the development of the firm’s strategic plan, focusing on strategic initiatives for growth, infrastructure improvements, and product management. He will also collaborate on special projects with other firm leaders to enhance business value and drive long-term results that ultimately benefit our clients and enhance the sustainability of our firm. Prior to joining Polen Capital in 2020 as Head of Corporate Strategy, Jeb was co-founder and partner at Casey Quirk (now part of Deloitte Consulting), where he spent over twenty-five years advising senior management of asset management firms on business strategy. Jeb received a B.A. in Computer Coordinate with English from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Jeb is a CFA® charterholder.

Grégoire Haenni

Mr. Grégoire Haenni is Chief Investment Officer of Caisse de Prevoyance de l'Etat de Geneve (CPEG), which is the provident fund of the State of Geneva.
Prior to joining CPEG in mid-2014, Mr. Haenni was Chief Investment Officer of the pension fund unit of CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, based in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to joining CERN in 2010, he was heading the Research and Investments department at Bank of China (Suisse) Fund Management SA. Before that, he founded Bedrock Alternative Asset Management SA, a subsidiary of Bedrock Group, and was the Managing Partner from 2007 to 2008, as well as Head of Research and Portfolio Management. He was a portfolio manager of two funds of hedge funds, as well as tailor-made portfolios designed for ultra-high net worth individuals, based on proprietary multi-dimensional models that he developed over 15 years. Prior to Bedrock, Mr. Haenni was a senior qualitative and quantitative analyst at Pictet & Cie's alternative department from 2001 to 2007.
He was also the manager of the Asian multi-strategy fund of hedge funds and managed tailor-made portfolios of alternative investments. He started his career in 1997 as a financial analyst and portfolio manager at Merchiston Management SA.

Mr. Grégoire Haenni holds a PhD in Econometrics, suma cum laude. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Methods and a Master of Science in Econometrics from the University of Geneva.

Suvir Mukhi, CFA

Suvir Mukhi is a Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer responsible for Asia/EM strategies including offshore Asian credit (USD) as well as non-China local currency markets. He covers cash bonds, interest rates and foreign exchange strategies.

Suvir joined Income Partners in 2000 and has over 20 years of global fixed income market experience. His experience includes portfolio management, fundamental credit research and macroeconomic analysis. Suvir covers a range of credits from high grade through high yield, distressed and special situations, including private loans. He has sat on steering committees for several workouts. Portfolios managed by Suvir include both investment grade and high yield mandates, with absolute return and long only strategies..

He is a long-standing member of Income Partners investment management team and is a core member of the investment committee. Suvir’s commitment and contributions have proven to be integral to the firm’s positive developments over the years. .

Suvir’s depth of experience as a key member of the firm’s investment committee, in addition to his extensive portfolio management responsibilities, lend well to his involvement in overall portfolio strategy and risk management processes where he looks closely at both fundamental and technical factors affecting rate and currency trades across Asia and globally. This in-depth analysis helps form the basis of relative value macro trading opportunities and portfolio allocation decisions.

A CFA charter-holder, Suvir received his education at Bentley College, MA, USA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance.

We would like to clarify that these individuals, groups, and websites are not associated with Income Partners in any way. We do not endorse or provide any investment advice through WhatsApp chats or groups. James Hu also refutes any connection to these individuals, groups, and websites.

Specifically, we have been made aware of the following impersonation attempts, please stay alert on the authenticity and reliability of these individuals or groups, as they are not authorized to provide such advice on behalf of Income Partners.

  • WhatsApp chats: Individuals are impersonated as “James Hu” using name such as “Hu Sir” in private WhatsApp chats and WhatsApp groups to provide investment advice. Please do not engage with these individuals, as they are not authorized to provide such advice on behalf of Income Partners.
  • Social media groups: There are several social media groups claiming to be associated with Income Partners and its traders. Please be wary of joining these groups, as this may expose you to false or misleading information.
  • Daily live audio session: These impersonators may share link to group users for live sessions with the investment advice. However, only audio is available, making it difficult for group members to verify the trader's identity.

Karl Dasher

Karl is President of Polen Capital, and is responsible for investment team administration, developing Polen’s global credit business, and supporting the firm’s strategic direction. Prior to joining Polen Capital in 2022, Karl served as CEO at Brigade Capital Management. JACK ZHAI, PhD, CFA

Jack joined Income Partners’ Hong Kong office in 2018 as a Senior Engineer and an Assistant Portfolio Manager. Jack began his role with automating Rates and Credit models for various portfolio managers, and building technological systems to streamline the investment process. He has since developed models to stress test credits and portfolios under various scenarios. Jack has also developed sensitivity models across all credit portfolios, in addition to the development of quantitative models for China Rates investment. He participates in Investment Committee meetings from quantamental perspectives. He provides valuable insights on investment opportunity discovery, portfolio monitoring and performance attribution analysis through independent and objective analysis.

Jack also manages system development projects including the implementation of big data and artificial intelligence framework and automation of various processes and workflows, especially for macro/rates trend discovery and individual credit screening.

Prior to joining Income Partners, Jack was with Goldman Sachs for 5 years in the credit sales & trading technology where he designed and developed applications and systems for the credit trading front office.

Jack holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong (2013) and both Master and Bachelor degrees in Software Engineering from Northeastern University, China (2009 and 2007, respectively). He was a visiting student in Microsoft Research Asia in 2007. Jack obtained his CFA charter in 2018.
